Our Mission
Educational Entrepreneurship on a Mission to Transform the Way We Create Social Change
At Fundacja Nativated, we believe that education is the most powerful lever for social transformation. But we also recognize that traditional non-profit models, while noble in intention, often struggle to achieve sustainable scale. They rely on unpredictable funding cycles, volunteer burnout, and philanthropic goodwill that can fluctuate with economic tides.
We founded Fundacja Nativated to challenge this paradigm.
We are social entrepreneurs, not just charity workers. This means we operate at the intersection of two worlds: the rigor, efficiency, and scalability of the commercial sector, and the purpose, empathy, and social impact of the non-profit world. Our mission is to build technology-driven educational projects that are financially self-sustaining, technologically innovative, and deeply human-centered.
We don't just want to help a few students. We want to build systems that can help thousands, then millions, by proving that doing good and running a sustainable enterprise are not mutually exclusive—they are mutually reinforcing.
The Social Entrepreneurship Model: Our Three Pillars
Our approach to mission-driven work is built on three interconnected pillars. Each pillar represents a distinct capability, but together they form a virtuous cycle where commercial success directly fuels social impact.
1. Educational Expertise
We excel in education design and technology to provide the best online learning experience.
Technology alone does not create learning. At its core, education is a relationship between a learner, a mentor, and a well-designed path toward growth. Our foundation is built on a deep understanding of pedagogy—the science and art of how people learn.
Our co-founder and CEO, Michał Tarnowski, brings expertise from the University of Oxford, where he studied the structures of effective education. This academic grounding informs everything we create. We do not simply digitize traditional classroom methods; we reimagine them for the online environment.
What this means in practice:
Curriculum Design: Every program we launch, whether commercial or pro-bono, follows a structured curriculum designed by educational experts. Our free Polish language lessons for Ukrainian refugees, for example, are not informal conversation circles. They are professional courses with learning objectives, progress tracking, and certified teachers.
Goal-Oriented Frameworks: We work with students and their families to create individualized educational plans. We believe learning is most effective when it is purposeful. Whether a student is preparing for university entrance exams or learning a new language to integrate into a new country, we set clear, measurable goals.
Quality Assurance: We maintain rigorous standards for our educators. Our network of teachers and tutors is carefully vetted, trained, and supported to ensure that every student receives the highest quality instruction, regardless of whether the lesson is funded by a corporate client or a charitable grant.
We understand that the best online learning experience is one that is engaging, accessible, and effective. By placing educational expertise at the core of our technology development, we ensure that our digital tools serve the learning process, not the other way around.
2. B2B Sales
We offer educational services to companies and organizations that want to empower youth.
This is the commercial engine of our foundation. We believe that businesses today want to do more than just generate profit. They want to be forces for good. They want to engage with their communities, support their employees' families, and build brands that stand for something meaningful. However, many companies lack the internal infrastructure or expertise to design and deliver high-impact educational programs.
Fundacja Nativated fills this gap.
We partner with corporations to create tailored educational initiatives that align with their business goals while delivering genuine social value. This is not sponsorship in the traditional sense—where a company simply writes a check and puts its logo on a banner. Instead, we offer an end-to-end service that allows companies to actively participate in social change.
Our B2B offerings include:
Employee Benefit Programs: We work with companies to provide high-quality online tutoring and educational courses for the children of their employees. This serves as a meaningful employee benefit that increases satisfaction, reduces stress for working parents, and demonstrates that the employer cares about their family's well-being.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives: We help companies channel their CSR budgets toward measurable educational outcomes. Instead of funding vague initiatives, our corporate partners can support specific programs—such as English lessons for underserved youth or STEM education for girls—with clear metrics on impact.
PR and Brand Alignment: By associating with Fundacja Nativated's educational mission, companies can authentically communicate their commitment to social responsibility. We create co-branded programs that highlight our partners' values while maintaining the integrity and quality of the educational experience.
When a company purchases our B2B services, they are not simply buying a product. They are investing in a social enterprise. Their commercial payment supports our operational costs, our technology development, and—crucially—our ability to deliver free educational services to those who need them most.
3. Social Entrepreneurship
We use our technology built for commercial purpose to empower NGOs.
This is the heart of our mission. The revenue generated through our B2B sales and commercial platforms allows us to do what truly matters: use our technology pro-bono to foster social change.
We partner with experienced non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who have deep community connections and subject-matter expertise but often lack the technological infrastructure to scale their impact. Our role is to provide that infrastructure—the digital classrooms, the scheduling platforms, the payment processing, the virtual whiteboards—completely free of charge.
How this creates leverage:
Amplifying Impact: An NGO that has been running in-person workshops for 50 students per month can, with our technology, scale to serve 500 students online, reaching communities across the country or even across borders.
Reducing Administrative Burden: Our technology automates the logistics of education—scheduling, attendance tracking, teacher payments, and student progress monitoring—freeing NGO staff to focus on what they do best: direct service and community engagement.
Sustainability: By building social projects on the same robust technology platform that powers our commercial work, we ensure that these initiatives are not fragile experiments. They are built on infrastructure that is constantly maintained, updated, and improved by our commercial team.
We do not see our commercial activities as a distraction from our mission. We see them as the fuel for our mission. Every successful B2B contract, every subscription to our platforms, enables us to say "yes" to more NGOs, to launch more social campaigns, and to reach more students who would otherwise be left behind.
Our Guiding Philosophy: Why This Model Works
Traditional charitable models often face a fundamental tension: the more impact they try to create, the more money they need to raise. This creates a constant cycle of fundraising that can distract from program delivery and leave organizations vulnerable to economic downturns.
Our social entrepreneurship model breaks this cycle.
By building a self-sustaining commercial operation alongside our charitable work, we create what we call impact independence. We are not reliant on grants that may expire or donations that may decline. Instead, we control our own destiny. The quality of our educational programs and technology directly determines our ability to fund our social mission. This aligns our incentives perfectly: the better our commercial work, the more social impact we can create.
This model also allows us to attract and retain top talent. We employ experienced technology developers, educational designers, and project coordinators. We pay competitive salaries because our commercial revenue allows us to. This means our social projects are not run by overworked volunteers but by skilled professionals who are dedicated to excellence.
Technology as a Force for Good
At the core of our mission is a belief that technology, when built with purpose and guided by educational expertise, can be a profound force for social change.
We develop our own digital tools—from virtual classrooms to booking systems to payment platforms—because we believe that off-the-shelf solutions rarely meet the specific needs of educational social projects. Our technology is designed from the ground up to support:
Accessibility: Our platforms work on a range of devices, including smartphones, ensuring that students without high-end computers can still participate.
Simplicity: We design user interfaces that are intuitive for students, teachers, and administrators alike. Technology should remove barriers to learning, not create new ones.
Scalability: Our systems are built to handle growth. A program that starts with 100 students can expand to 10,000 without requiring a complete technological overhaul.
We also believe in sharing what we build. When we create a new feature for a commercial client that could benefit a social project, we integrate it into our pro-bono offerings. Our technology continuously improves, and all of our partner NGOs benefit from these improvements.
Our Commitment to Measurable Impact
We are not satisfied with good intentions. Our mission demands measurable results.
Every project we undertake, whether commercial or social, is designed with clear goals and robust monitoring. We track:
Student Outcomes: Are students meeting their learning objectives? Are they progressing in their language skills, academic performance, or personal development?
Reach: How many students are we serving? How many lessons are being delivered? How many teachers are engaged?
Partner Satisfaction: Are our corporate partners seeing the employee engagement and PR value they expected? Are our NGO partners finding our technology and support effective?
Financial Sustainability: Is our commercial revenue growing to support our social mission? Are we using our resources efficiently?
We report these metrics transparently to our partners and the public. We believe that accountability is essential to trust, and trust is essential to lasting social change.
Looking Forward: Our Vision for the Future
Our mission is not static. As we grow, we envision:
Expanding Our Geographic Reach: While we are based in Poland, our technology allows us to serve students anywhere. We aim to partner with NGOs across Europe and beyond, sharing our technology and educational expertise.
Developing New Educational Programs: We are constantly exploring new areas of need. From STEM education for girls to digital literacy for seniors, we want to apply our model wherever education can create opportunity.
Open-Sourcing Our Tools: In the long term, we hope to make some of our technology available to the broader non-profit sector, allowing any organization dedicated to education to benefit from the infrastructure we have built.
Building a Community of Social Entrepreneurs: We want to inspire and support others who believe in the power of self-sustaining social enterprises. We share our experiences, our successes, and our failures to help grow the ecosystem of social entrepreneurship.
