Who We Are

Fundacja Nativated is a Polish foundation with a global perspective. We are social entrepreneurs, technology builders, and educational designers united by a single belief: that quality education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their circumstances, and that the organizations delivering that education should be sustainable, professional, and scalable.

We were founded on a simple but radical idea: the traditional divide between commercial business and charitable work is outdated. For too long, organizations have been forced to choose between being financially sustainable or being mission-driven. We reject this false choice. At Nativated, we generate revenue through premium educational services and technology platforms, and we reinvest that revenue into pro-bono social initiatives that serve the most vulnerable members of our community.

We are registered as a foundation in Poland, but our work extends across borders. Our technology connects students, teachers, and organizations in Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia, and beyond. We have delivered thousands of lessons to refugees, children of healthcare workers, and underserved youth. We have built commercial platforms that are transforming the tutoring market. And we have done it all by staying true to our founding principle: use business to build technology, and use technology to create social change.

Our Story: How We Began

Every organization has an origin story. Ours begins with two people who came from different worlds but shared a common vision.

Michał Tarnowski came from the world of education. A graduate of the University of Oxford, he had spent years working on educational projects, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of great teaching. But he had also seen the limitations of traditional educational non-profits—the constant fundraising, the volunteer turnover, the inability to scale beyond a small group of beneficiaries. He knew there had to be a better way.

Adam Galant came from the world of technology. With a background in IT development and years of experience building digital products, he understood the power of scalable technology. He knew that the right platform could serve thousands of users with the same efficiency as serving ten. But he had also seen technology built without purpose—slick interfaces and complex features that solved problems no one actually had.

Michał and Adam met at the intersection of their expertise. Michał had the educational vision and the understanding of social impact. Adam had the technical skills and the ability to build. Together, they asked a question: what if we could build technology that was both commercially viable and socially purposeful? What if we could create a foundation that paid for itself while doing genuine good?

That question became Fundacja Nativated.

We started small, building our first platforms and testing our models with pilot programs. We learned what worked and what didn't. We discovered that technology alone was not enough—it had to be paired with exceptional educational design. We learned that commercial clients wanted more than just a product; they wanted a partner who understood their goals and could deliver measurable results. And we learned that NGOs, for all their passion and expertise, were desperately in need of the technological infrastructure that we could provide.

With each lesson delivered, each client served, and each partnership formed, our model proved itself. Today, Fundacja Nativated is a growing organization with a portfolio of commercial products and social initiatives, a network of teachers and partners, and a clear path toward even greater impact.

Michał Tarnowski

CEO & Co-Founder

Michał is the educational heart of Nativated. A graduate of the University of Oxford, he brings a world-class understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and educational systems to everything we create. But his expertise is not merely academic. Michał has spent over five years working directly on educational projects, from grassroots initiatives to large-scale programs, giving him a practical understanding of what works in the real world.

As CEO, Michał oversees our educational strategy, ensures the quality of our programs, and builds the partnerships with NGOs and corporate clients that form the foundation of our work. He is driven by a simple belief: education changes lives, and the organizations that deliver education deserve to be as well-run and sustainable as any successful business.

Michał's leadership is characterized by a relentless focus on quality. He insists that every program we deliver, whether commercial or pro-bono, meets the highest standards of educational excellence. This commitment to quality is what sets Nativated apart and what earns the trust of our partners and students.

Adam Galant

CTO & Co-Founder

Adam is the technological engine of Nativated. With four years of formal IT education and six years of hands-on experience in software development, he has the technical expertise to build platforms that are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. But Adam is not just a developer; he is a product thinker who understands that technology must serve human needs.

As CTO, Adam leads the development of all our digital products, from the Nauczeni.pl tutoring platform to the virtual classrooms that power our social initiatives. He is responsible for ensuring that our technology is reliable, secure, and intuitive for both teachers and students. Under his leadership, we have built systems that handle lesson booking, virtual whiteboards, teacher accounting, payment processing, and student progress tracking—all integrated into seamless experiences.

Adam's approach to technology is guided by a social mission. He believes that the same platforms that serve our commercial clients should be available to NGOs and social projects at no cost. He has built our infrastructure with this principle in mind, ensuring that we can scale our pro-bono work without compromising quality or security.

Together, Michał and Adam represent the dual expertise that defines Nativated: world-class education meets world-class technology, all in service of social change.

We employ experienced educational program coordinators who manage our teacher networks, monitor student progress, and ensure that every program meets its goals. These are not volunteers working in their spare time; they are skilled professionals who bring expertise in project management, education, and client relations.

We employ technology developers who continuously improve our platforms, adding new features, fixing bugs, and ensuring that our systems remain at the cutting edge of educational technology. They work alongside our educational team to build tools that are genuinely useful, not just technically impressive.

We employ partnership managers who build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and NGOs, ensuring that our partners receive the support they need and that our projects align with their goals.

We employ teachers and tutors—a network of educators who deliver our programs with professionalism, empathy, and skill. They are the face of Nativated to our students, and we invest heavily in their training, support, and development.

We build our own technology because off-the-shelf solutions rarely meet our needs. By owning our platforms, we can customize them for our specific use cases, integrate them seamlessly with our educational processes, and offer them pro-bono to our NGO partners.

Project Management

Our programs are complex, involving multiple stakeholders, schedules, and deliverables. We excel at:

• Coordinating teacher networks of 30 or more educators, ensuring they have the support and resources they need.

• Monitoring educational goals to ensure students are progressing and programs are achieving their intended outcomes.

• Creating reports that give our partners clear visibility into program performance and impact.

• Implementing outreach strategies to reach the students who need us most.

Our Values in Action

We talk about our values, but we also demonstrate them in everything we do.

When we say we value excellence, we mean that our free Polish language lessons for Ukrainian refugees follow the same professional curriculum and quality standards as our paid commercial programs. Quality is not reserved for paying clients; it is embedded in everything we do.

When we say we value sustainability, we mean that we have built a business model that does not depend on grants or donations. We generate our own revenue through services that people value, and we reinvest that revenue into social impact. This makes us resilient and allows us to plan for the long term.

When we say we value collaboration, we mean that we listen to our partners. When an NGO tells us what they need, we build it. When a corporate client has a goal, we design a program to achieve it. We do not impose solutions; we co-create them.

When we say we value innovation, we mean that we are constantly improving. The Teaching For Heroes program, which delivered over 7,000 free lessons to children of medics during the pandemic, taught us lessons that we applied to Language Supp Ukraina. The technology we built for Nauczeni is now being used to support social projects. We learn from everything we do and apply those lessons to the next challenge.
